Requirements

QuickCreatePro requires a reasonably and fast modern PC. We have set out some guidelines for you so that you can enjoy QuickCreatePro to its full potential.

Operating System

Windows 95 version 2 (Win95b), 95c, 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, 2000 Pro, XP Home, and XP Professional.

QuickCreate works on Windows NT4, but Office XP will not install on Win95/NT4 so NT4 is not recommended.

The system works best in Windows 2000 or XP and if you have Administrator privileges, or your settings are as near to Administrator settings as possible. You will need to be able to write to a local hard drive.

Visual Basic RunTime Libraries

The Visual Basic Runtime Libraries are a necessity for this program to run. They are included with the program, and are installed in the Program's install directory so as to not interfere with your current versions of the VB runtime libraries.

Software Requirements

It is absolutely necessary that Internet Explorer 5.5 or above be installed on all PC's that QuickCreate be used on.

Only QuickCreate97 will work on Office 97 - all other versions of QuickCreate require at least Office 2000.

Hardware

The following machine specification is a rough guide, though not a requirement. The software will work on slower PCs and PCs with more limited memory but it will work slower than intended.

CPU

Intel Pentium III 800 MHz - or it's AMD/Cyrix equivalent. It is not recommended to have anything less than this as several copies of Microsoft Word are simultaneously loading up in the background. As with most programs, the faster the CPU, the faster the program will run.

RAM

Depending on the Operating System, the following amount of RAM is recommended:

• Windows 98/ME - 128Mb RAM minimum, 256Mb recommended.
• Windows 2000/XP - 256Mb RAM minimum, 512Mb recommended.

Hard Disk Space

QuickCreatePro has a bare minimum installation size of 15 Mb. The total size of the installation varies depends on the number of courses you have purchased. The sample data takes another 30 Mb, but the complete range (ECDL and Standard versions) of SanScrip courseware for Office 97 or 2000 would be 660Mb. You will get an indication of the size of the installation by checking the total size of all files on your supplied CD, though this will not allow for future purchases of other courses!

Display

QuickCreatePro will run on a computer with a minimum resolution of 800x600.

A colour palette of 24-bit is recommended due to the graphics used in the program, however running it in a lower colour depth will not affect the program's internal workings - it will simply not look as great!
